HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that the arrival of the United States and Iran in Pakistan for talks shows the international community’s trust in the country.
Talking to media at Sehwan Airport, he said it was a matter of pride for Pakistan that two important countries chose its soil for dialogue.
He said rising oil prices in the global market had forced Pakistan to import petroleum at higher rates.
However, he said Federal and provincial governments had jointly decided to provide subsidy to give relief to the public.
Under the package, Rs2,000 will be given to motorcycle users, and talks had also been held with transporters regarding fares.
The Chief Minister said President Asif Ali Zardari and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had directed increased support for deserving families through the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP).
On law and order, he said police had been ordered to launch a crackdown against drug dealers across Sindh and strict action will be taken against their network.
Referring to a recent incident in Mirpurkhas, he said the Fahmida Laghari case was very unfortunate and all those involved will be brought to justice and dealt with strictly.
