Pakistan defeats three times larger enemy in Marka-e-Haq: Engr Amir Muqam

SHANGLA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd May, 2026) Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON and President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Engineer Amir Muqam said that Pakistan has defeated three times larger enemy India in Marka-e-Haq in May last year and delivered a clear message to the world that Pakistani nation is invincible. He added that Pakistan was moving on the path of economic prosperity, development and stability and would achieve further successes under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

He expressed these views while addressing at the inauguration ceremony of the Jatkool Bridge in Chakesar here Saturday.

On this occasion, he inaugurated the Jatkool Bridge amid slogans of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Engr Amir Muqam Zindabad. The bridge will benefit the residents of the villages of Jatkool and Masir.

The federal minister said that today Pakistan was progressing under strong leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the strategy of a brave Army Chief and Chief of Defense Forces, Filed Marshal Syed Asim Munir have brought great success to the country on every front. He reiterated that in the battle of truth, Pakistan defeated a much larger enemy and proved to the world that this nation is invincible. "These successes demonstrate that when leadership is sincere and the nation is united, even the biggest challenges become manageable."

He added that the respect of the green passport had increased and Pakistan was on the path of development and stability and would achieve even more success in the future.

The federal minister said that the bridge being inaugurated today was also being funded from his own pocket and he had strictly instructed the relevant authorities to complete it as soon as possible.

Engr Amir Muqam stated that he had built more than 100 roads in Sarkul Union Council. Although, I do not wish to list my achievements, I will continue to resolve people’s problems within his capacity, he added.

He criticized the previous government of KP, saying they had been in power for 13 years but failed to bring significant projects to the area. He challenged them to show what they had delivered, despite making tall promises.

He said his working style is to identify problems and solve them without needing public rallies. He emphasized that he owes his position to the people and their prayers.

Engr Amir Muqam said he never asked about political affiliation before helping someone and aims to continue serving everyone. He also mentioned that due to his busy schedule, he hardly gets time to spend with his children, but his desire is to serve the public. He added that during the previous caretaker government, he was given the ministry of communication and within four months got approval for projects worth four billion rupees for two roads in Chakesar.

The minister claimed to have brought projects worth 29 billion rupees to the area, accomplishing more in four months than PTI has so far. He further said that during the PTI government, NAB ordered an inquiry against him, over 200 witnesses were called from Shangla, and even his son was summoned.

Engr Amir said that he had to spend time in jail, but no corruption of even one rupee could be proven against him. He recalled that in his first election, people said they would vote for whoever brought electricity to the area. I do not make false promises, but with sincere intentions, I succeeded in bringing electricity to the region, which was previously considered impossible, he expressed, adding, the people now vote for me based on my performance and I do not even need to campaign. He advised the voters to support those who have worked to solve their problems.

The federal minister also mentioned that during the 2010 floods, while he was in opposition, he rented a helicopter to help flood victims, transporting them to hospitals at his own expense. Engr Amir Muqam said that he had always worked with dedication and personal resources.

On this occasion, Provincial Assembly Member Rashad Khan, Tehsil Mayor Chakesar and District General Secretary Bakht Alam Khan, former Union Council Nazim Sarkul Qari Saaduddin, former Deputy Nazim Zardast Khan, Amir Muhammad Khan (Village Nazim Talun), and Village Nazim Gananagar Fazal Manan also addressed the gathering.

Earlier, Engineer Amir Muqam received a warm welcome upon his arrival in Chakesar amid full throated slogans of Engr Amir Muqam Zindabad.
