MOSCOW, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2026) In a significant engagement aimed at strengthening diplomatic and academic ties, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation Faisal Niaz Tirmizi on Thursday addressed the students and faculty at a leading Russian university, shedding light on key regional and global developments while exploring avenues for educational collaboration.

Faisal Niaz Tirmizi delivered a lecture to the students of the Moscow Polytechnic University.

The lecture focused on the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Russia and rapidly evolving developments in the middle East, with a specific emphasis on Pakistan’s strategic role in facilitating diplomatic mediation between the United States and Iran.

Ambassador Tirmizi highlighted Pakistan’s long-standing commitment to regional stability and its role as a broker of peaceful dialogue.

The presentation was followed by an interactive Q&A session, during which the ambassador provided detailed insights into geopolitical issues and Pakistan’s foreign policy.

The ambassador also met with the Vice Rector for International Cooperation, Ms. Yulia Davydova to discuss prospects for bilateral cooperation, specifically focusing on strategies to increase the enrollment of Pakistani students at the university.
