Pakistan expresses solidarity with Iran, leadership united in support: Danyal Chaudhry

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jul, 2026) Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Barrister Danyal Chaudhry on Friday conveyed heartfelt condolences to the Iranian leadership and the bereaved families, saying Pakistan stood shoulder to shoulder with Iran in this difficult time with its entire military and civilian leadership united in support.

While speaking exclusively to media, Danyal Chaudhry said Pakistan’s political and military leadership remained united in its commitment to regional peace, stability and constructive diplomacy, adding that Pakistan has consistently played a responsible role in promoting dialogue and reducing tensions in the region.

He said Pakistan’s diplomatic approach was based on mutual respect, sovereignty and peaceful coexistence and that Islamabad continued to encourage peaceful solutions to regional challenges through engagement and mediation efforts.

Barrister Danyal Chaudhry said the unity of Pakistan’s civilian and military leadership reflected the country’s firm resolve to uphold its national interests while actively supporting peace and stability in the region, adding that Pakistan remained prepared to respond to any challenge with determination while prioritizing diplomacy over

confrontation.

He further said that a Pakistani delegation reached in Tehran to participate in the funeral ceremony, expressing solidarity with the Iranian leadership and people in their time of grief.

Referring to India, he added that Pakistan’s unified stance and responsible diplomacy sent a clear message that any attempt to undermine regional peace or Pakistan’s sovereignty would be firmly addressed.

Responding to a question, Barrister Danyal Chaudhry said India was being exposed on various diplomatic fronts, while Pakistan’s principled and responsible foreign policy was gaining recognition at the international level.

He said Pakistan’s consistent diplomatic engagement and balanced approach had enhanced its image globally, adding that the country’s stance was being acknowledged by friendly nations and international partners.

Barrister Danyal Chaudhry reiterated that Pakistan remained committed to peace, regional stability and constructive engagement, while firmly safeguarding its sovereignty and national interests.
