SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2026) Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora has said that Pakistan is land of
Sufis, Gurus, and saints where every citizen enjoys complete freedom to practice his religion
without any fear.
He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony held in connection with the Hindu religious
festival of "Shivratri" in Sialkot.
Members of the Hindu community, including Sardar Jaskaran Singh, Ratan Lal, and the Pappu brothers,
along with a large number of community members, attended the event.
While referring to the restoration of historical religious sites in Sialkot, the provincial minister said that the rehabilitation of Gurdwara Babe-Di-Beri and temple Shawala Teja Singh, and freeing them from illegal
occupants was made possible through the commendable efforts of Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Provincial Ministe for Labour Muhammad Manshaullah Butt, who deserve
great appreciation.
He said their initiatives have strengthened interfaith harmony and ensured protection of minority places
of worship.
He also mentioned that the birth anniversary celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak were organized with great enthusiasm and reverence, and now the Hindu community is celebrating Shivratri with enthusiasm.
He emphasized that minorities in Pakistan are free, secure, and contributing actively to national
development.
