PAKISTAN: Internet users across Pakistan face slow speeds and service starting from today, Monday, May 11, 2026. Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has informed customers about a scheduled maintenance activity to repair a fault in one of its submarine cables.

During this maintenance period, customers may experience degraded internet services, particularly during evening hours. PTCL has cautioned that the ongoing repair work could affect internet quality, resulting in slower speeds and possible service interruptions.

The maintenance is being carried out by the International Cable Consortium and will continue until May 18. During this period, internet quality may be badly affected, especially during peak evening hours (6 PM to 11 PM) when most people use the internet for streaming, online classes, and work.

This is a routine but important maintenance activity. Once completed, it is expected to bring better and more stable internet service across the country. Users are advised to stay updated through official PTCL announcements.
