RAWALPINDI: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-April 21st, 2026) Pakistan Navy has successfully carried out live firing of the indigenously developed Taimoor Air-Launched Cruise Missile, an advanced anti-ship weapon system, in a major demonstration of operational readiness and precision strike capability.
The officials said that the missile accurately executed its designated mission, confirming the Navy’s ability to detect, track and effectively neutralise maritime threats at long ranges.
The successful test is being seen as a significant advancement in Pakistan’s defence capabilities, further enhancing the coordinated strike potential of the armed forces in conventional warfare domains.
Officials said the development strengthens Pakistan Navy’s multi-dimensional operational posture and reinforces its ability to safeguard national maritime interests and territorial waters.
The President of Pakistan, the Prime Minister, the Chief of Defence Forces and all Services Chiefs have congratulated the scientists and engineers involved in the project, terming the achievement a major milestone in the country’s defence technology progress.
