FAISALABAD/CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Mar, 2026) Federal Minister for the board of Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh has said that Pakistan offers vast opportunities for local and foreign investment due to its improving economic environment and balanced foreign policy.

Talking to media persons during visit to a free medical camp organized in the remote area of Chak No.12 Salotran Wala in district Chiniot, he said that the series of free medical camps in remote and underdeveloped areas would continue on a regular basis.

He said that basic purpose of arranging such camps was to provide quality medical facilities to poor people living in far-flung areas where modern healthcare facilities were either unavailable or very limited.

He said that a large number of people living in remote areas were facing serious difficulties in getting proper treatment because neither medical colleges nor major hospitals existed in their vicinity.

Even reaching nearby big cities was not easy for many families due to financial constraints and poor transport facilities, which further increased the hardships of patients, particularly women, children and aged citizens, he added.

Qaiser Sheikh said that keeping in view these problems, the initiative of holding one or two free medical camps every month had been launched so that deserving patients could receive treatment without any financial burden.

He said that expert and qualified doctors were examining patients free of cost at these camps and providing them medicines as well as necessary medical advice.

He said that many of the doctors participating in these camps usually charge thousands of rupees in private clinics, but they were voluntarily offering their services in remote areas to serve the poor and needy.

This initiative was not only helping patients but also creating awareness among people about preventive healthcare and the importance of timely treatment, he added.

The minister said that effects of floods were still being felt in many remote areas and a large number of people were suffering from various diseases including skin infections and seasonal illnesses.

Thousands of patients had already benefited from these camps and the government was determined to continue this initiative on a permanent basis so that more people could be facilitated, he added.

Talking about the national and international situation, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh said that Pakistan was playing a positive and effective role at the global level due to the joint efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.

He said that Pakistan enjoyed close relations with its neighboring country Iran as well as Gulf countries while its relations with the United States and China were also strong and stable.

Due to Pakistan’s balanced foreign policy and principled stance on international issues, the confidence of global community in Pakistan was gradually increasing and the world was now looking at Pakistan as a responsible and important country in the region, he added.

The federal minister said that Pakistan offered vast opportunities for investment in various sectors including industry, agriculture, energy and infrastructure.

The growing confidence of international investors in Pakistan was evident from the increasing trade activities and the rising volume of trans-shipment at the country’s ports, he added.

He said that business activities at Karachi and other ports were expanding and the government was taking practical steps to enhance their capacity so that international trade could be further promoted.

Pakistan was a peaceful and stable country where investors could find a favorable environment for investment and business growth, he added.

He further said that the government was taking effective measures to attract foreign investment and encourage the establishment of new industries in order to create employment opportunities for the youth and improve living standards of the common people.

He said that the government was also taking steps to provide relief to the public and making important decisions to ensure economic stability.

The government, cabinet and state institutions were working together for the development and stability of the country and the positive results of these efforts would soon become visible, he added.

Earlier, the federal minister also distributed suits among thousands of deserving women belonging to remote areas of Chiniot.
