Pakistan's defence becoming stronger by each passing day, say speakers at Bunyan-um-Marsoos Conference

DERA GHAZI KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2026) Speakers at a conference held here Thursday to commemorate the first anniversary of the “Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos” victory termed the success a “divine blessing” for Pakistan and paid glowing tribute to the armed forces for their sacrifices and role in national defence.

The “Marka-e-Haq Bunyan-un-Marsoos and Istehkam-e-Pakistan Conference” was organised in DG Khan, with religious scholars, civil administration officials, peace committee members and social figures in attendance.

The conference was chaired by Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabeer Azad, who is also the Khateeb and Imam of Badshahi Mosque. Among the prominent participants were Commissioner DG Khan Ashfaq Ahmed Chaudhry and RPO DG Khan Muhammad Azhar Akram, along with scholars from different schools of thought and members of district and divisional peace committees.

Addressing the gathering, Maulana Azad said the nation was celebrating one year of the “historic success” of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos and expressing gratitude to Allah Almighty for the victory. He alleged that India had staged the Pahalgam incident in April 2025 to justify aggression against Pakistan and said the country had responded firmly through the military operation launched on May 10, 2025.

He praised the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, saying the armed forces had forced the enemy “to bow down” and shattered its arrogance through professional capability and national unity.

The speakers paid tribute to the martyrs of Pakistan and lauded the armed forces for their sacrifices in safeguarding the country. They said Pakistan’s defence capability was becoming stronger with each passing day and reiterated confidence in the national leadership and security institutions.

Referring to regional diplomacy, the speakers appreciated the role of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in efforts aimed at reducing tensions in the middle East and promoting peace negotiations.

Religious scholars from various schools of thought stressed the need for national unity, interfaith harmony and collective efforts for peace and stability in the country. They also expressed solidarity with the armed forces in the fight against terrorism and extremism. Religious scholars pledged to stand united against the threats posed by Fitna Al-Khwarij, and Fitna Al-Hindustan.

The conference concluded with special prayers for Pakistan’s security, prosperity and stability, as well as for unity in the Muslim world, protection of the holy sites in Saudi Arabia, and peace in Kashmir, Gaza and Palestine. Participants also held Pakistan’s national flags and chanted slogans in support of the country and its armed forces.
