Pakistan’s peace efforts winning global recognition: Azma Bokhari

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Apr, 2026) Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari has said that voices of “Thank You Pakistan” and “Gratitude to Pakistan” are being echoed across the world, reflecting international appreciation for the country’s sincere efforts to promote peace.

In a statement issued on Saturday, she said the global community has wholeheartedly acknowledged Pakistan’s constructive and balanced diplomatic role. She highlighted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar are achieving significant successes on diplomatic fronts.

Azma Bokhari stated that both the Prime Minister and the Army Chief have emerged as genuine advocates of peace, which is why Pakistan is gaining recognition and respect at major international forums.

Referring to the middle East situation, she noted that peace in the region has been made possible due to Pakistan’s effective and balanced diplomacy.

She further claimed that global leadership, including the President of the United States, has recognized the administrative and defense capabilities of Pakistan’s leadership.

The provincial minister criticized elements attempting to isolate Pakistan internationally, saying such conspiracies have failed. She added that under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan is steadily regaining its lost stature on the global stage.

Azma Bokhari also remarked that Pakistan’s diplomatic achievements are causing unease across the border. Taking a strong stance against what she termed “fugitive elements” speaking against the country, she said some individuals cannot tolerate Pakistan’s progress and prayed for their guidance.
