Pakistan’s role in U.S.-Iran peace accord praised for elevating global standing

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jun, 2026) Senior Provincial Minister of Balochistan and Pakistan Peoples Party Central Committee member, Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani, has hailed Pakistan’s pivotal role and hosting of the U.S.-Iran peace agreement, describing it as a landmark achievement that has enhanced the country’s diplomatic stature on the global stage.

In a statement, the provincial minister emphasized that the accord represents a triumph of diplomacy over confrontation, made possible through the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the effective efforts of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. He noted that the agreement has spared the world from a potentially devastating conflict and its far-reaching consequences.
