Pakistan Successfully Tests Anti-Ship Missile, Interior Minister Congratulates Nation

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2026) Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday congratulated the nation on the successful test of an anti-ship missile conducted by the Pakistan Navy, terming it a major advancement in the country’s defense capabilities.

In an official statement, the minister praised the Navy’s scientists and engineers, calling the achievement commendable and reflective of their professional excellence.

He said that under the leadership of Chief of Defence Forces Asim Munir and Chief of the Naval Staff Naveed Ashraf, Pakistan had secured another success in the defense sector.

Naqvi stated that the missile test marks an important step toward strengthening the country’s maritime security and ensuring the protection of its sea boundaries.
