Pakistan temporarily suspends Operation Ghazab-Lil-Haq for Eid

The operation, which targets terrorist elements, will be paused from the night of March 18–19 until the night of March 23–24.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has temporarily suspended its counter-terrorism Operation Ghazab-Lil-Haq in observance of the sanctity of Eid al-Fitr, the Federal Minister for Information Atta Tarar announced on X.

The operation, which targets terrorist elements, will be paused from the night of March 18–19 until the night of March 23–24.

The suspension follows requests from friendly countries, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey, and is a gesture of goodwill in accordance with Islamic traditions.

Minister Tarar emphasized that any terrorist activity originating across the border during this period will trigger a resumption of the operation with renewed intensity.

He added that Pakistan’s temporary pause reflects both religious observance and diplomatic courtesy toward allied nations.
