Proposed schedule unveils that series will feature three One Day Internationals, with matches likely to be held on May 31, June 2 and June 4
LAHORE: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-April 30th, 2026) Pakistan is set to host Australia for a three-match ODI series next year, with all games expected to be played at the Gaddafi Stadium, sources said on Thursday.
The proposed schedule unveiled that the series will feature three One Day Internationals, with matches likely to be held on May 31, June 2 and June 4. The Pakistan Cricket board (PCB) will issue the official confirmation in due course.
The series will mark Australia’s first ODI tour of Pakistan since 2022. On their previous visit, the Pakistan national cricket team won the three-match series 2–1 in a closely fought contest.
Australia have historically dominated ODI encounters between the two sides, winning 71 of 111 matches, while Pakistan have secured 36 victories.
Following the Pakistan tour, the Australia national cricket team are scheduled to tour Bangladesh for a full white-ball series in June 2026, featuring ODIs in Dhaka followed by T20Is in Chattogram.
Meanwhile, Pakistan are also preparing for a two-match Test series against Bangladesh as part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship 2025–27. The series will begin in May, with Shan Masood continuing as Test captain and several uncapped players included in the squad.
Pakistan are also set to play upcoming Test series against England, Sri Lanka and West Indies later in the year as part of their busy international Calendar.
