ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Jun, 2026) Pakistan on Monday warmly welcomed the understanding reached between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, appreciating the trust reposed in the country by the leadership of both nations.
“This significant breakthrough reflects the power of sustained diplomatic engagement and the collective resolve of friendly nations to choose dialogue over confrontation,” Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar wrote on his X timeline.
He said that the development also sent a reassuring message to the international community and provided much-needed confidence and stability to global markets and the world economy, particularly for developing countries that were most vulnerable to regional instability.
The deputy prime minister said that throughout this period, Pakistan remained actively engaged with all concerned parties and consistently advocated restraint and constructive engagement, maintaining that dialogue and diplomacy remained the only viable means for the resolution of all issues.

He said that as the negotiations continued on the outstanding matters, Pakistan stood ready to support every endeavour aimed at consolidating this progress.
“We look forward to the formal signing ceremony on 19th June in Geneva and remain confident that this positive development will pave the way for enduring peace, stability and shared prosperity for the region and beyond, InshaAllah,” Deputy Prime Minister Dar remarked.
