The 8-0 result marks Pakistan’s largest margin of victory in international women’s football, surpassing their previous 7-0 win over Maldives women's national football team.

The match, played in Abidjan, saw Pakistan dominate from the start, maintaining relentless pressure on their opponents.

The national side built a commanding 4-0 lead by halftime.

Zahmena Malik, Aqsa Mushtaq, Layla Banaras and Maryam Mahmood were on target in the first half.

Pakistan continued their attacking display in the second half, adding four more goals to complete a comprehensive victory. Layla Banaras and Aqsa Mushtaq each scored their second goals of the match, while Nadia Khan and Isra Khan also found the net.
