CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Apr, 2026) The Para Force in Chiniot has cracked down on illegal businesses on Sunday, seizing a massive consignment of non-customs-paid imported cigarettes worth millions.
The operation led to the recovery of over 25,000 cigarette packets valued at Rs 4 million.Enforcement Officer Anila Baloch led the operation, sealing 4 shops involved in selling non-customs cigarettes.
According to APP correspondent, the seized items have been handed over to Excise Department authorities.
Administrator Wasiq Abbas Haral stated that the crackdown on illegal businesses will continue unabated.
He emphasized that non-customs cigarettes harm the national exchequer and promote crime.
District Officer Muzammil Hussain warned that selling non-customs items won't be tolerated, and strict action will be taken against violators.
The operation reflects efforts to curb illicit trade in Chiniot. The Para Force's actions aim to protect local businesses and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
