FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2026) Children Hospital Faisalabad Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr. Aamir Naveed on Monday termed paramedics as backbone of the healthcare system and said that hospitals could not function effectively without their dedicated services.

He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony held at Children Hospital in connection with National Paramedics Day, where the speakers paid rich tribute to the invaluable contributions of paramedical staff.

The event was organized under the patronage of Chairman Paramedics Union Rana Shahzad, President Nazim Hussain Gujjar and General Secretary Uzair Hanif while a large number of paramedics participated in it.

Former Provincial President Paramedics Union Aamir Nazir Gujjar lauded the tireless efforts of paramedics and urged for immediately address of their long-standing issues including promotions and service-related matters.

He emphasized that paramedics play a critical role in ensuring uninterrupted healthcare delivery and deserve due recognition and institutional support.

Medical Superintendent Dr. Aamir Naveed assured the paramedics staff that his doors remained open for the resolution of their problems and their all legitimate demands would be addressed on priority basis. He acknowledged professional commitment of paramedics and said that their role was indispensable in maintaining hospital operations and patient care standards.

Among others, Nursing Incharge Madam Najma and Madam Shama participated in the ceremony while Rizwan Bajwa and Usman Haider from Faisalabad Institute of Cardiology (FIC) also attended to express solidarity with the paramedical community.

The speakers collectively highlighted the need to further strengthen the healthcare system by empowering paramedics and ensuring their welfare.
