PC-I approved for construction of 5 parking plazas

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Mar, 2026) Five parking plazas including trade centers will be constructed on the Municipal Corporation’s properties near eight bazaars of clock tower chowk for which PC-I has been approved.

In this regard, a meeting of the Divisional Development Working Party will be called within the next few days in which formal approval will be granted for the funds.

This was told in a meeting held with Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar in the chair here on Thursday. Director General, Faisalabad Development Authority, Muhammad Asif Chaudhry, Director Development Asif Chauhan, Chief Officer Municipal Corporation Murtaza Malik and others were present.

The Commissioner said three plazas would be fully reserved for only parking while two buildings will comprise parking places and commercial activities.

The sites for the parking plazas have been selected near Aminpur bazar, Imam bargah road near Diglaspura, and outside Karkhana bazaar.

The plazas will have the capacity of parking about 1,000 motorcycles and 200 cars.
