PCB announces nationwide Inter-District Senior Tournament starting April 5

The tournament will feature a total of 111 teams divided in 16 regions across country, with a pool of over 1,000 players ready to showcase their skills

LAHORE: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-April 1st, 2026) The Regional Inter-District Senior Tournament 2026-27 in Bahawalpur and Faisalabad Regions will commence from Sunday, 5 April, the PCB announced on Wednesday.

The tournament will feature a total of 111 teams divided in 16 regions across the country, with a pool of over 1,000 players ready to showcase their skills.

The inter-district tournament in Abbottabad, FATA, Peshawar and Rawalpindi will begin from 7 April and Dera Murad Jamali on 8 April. Multan gets underway on 13 April, Quetta on 16 April and Karachi on 20 April.

Schedules for the remaining regions will be confirmed in due course, while the tournament commenced in Larkana region on 1 April.

Quetta, Faisalabad, Sialkot and FATA will employ a two-pool format, with the pool winners progressing to a final to determine the regional champion. The remaining 12 regions; Abbottabad, AJK, Bahawalpur, Dera Murad Jamali (DMJ), Hyderabad, Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Larkana, Multan, Peshawar and Rawalpindi will compete in a single-league round-robin format.

The Regional Inter-District Senior Tournament serves as a key pillar of the PCB’s domestic cricket structure, providing district-level cricketers across the country with competitive three-day cricket and get them ready for the four-day tournaments.
