People throng Bohranwali Ground to celebrate Marka-e-Haq anniversary

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th May, 2026) A large number of people thronged at Bohranwali Ground Faisalabad to celebrate first anniversary of the historic victory of Marka-e-Haq (Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos) and express unwavering solidarity with Pakistan Armed Forces.

District administration organized the grand ceremony which turned into a vibrant display of patriotism, national unity and gratitude to the defenders of the homeland.

Adviser to Prime Minister (PM) on Political and Public Affairs Senator Rana Sanaullah attended the ceremony as chief guest while Deputy Commissioner (DC) Faisalabad Captain (Retired) Nadeem Nasir, Director General (DG) Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Muhammad Asif Chaudhary, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Anwar Ali, Assistant Commissioners Adil Umar and Aurangzeb Saleem, Managing Director (MD) Parks & Horticulture Agency (PHA) Dilawar Khan and other senior officers were also present.

Members of National and Provincial Assemblies and PML-N leaders Raja Daniyal Ahmad, Jafar Ali Hocha, Sheikh Ejaz Ahmad and Umar Israr also attended the event along with political personalities, religious scholars, civil society members and media representatives.

During ceremony, national songs, patriotic anthems and cultural performances were presented while participants paid rich tribute to Pakistan Armed Forces for their courage, sacrifices and unwavering commitment during Marka-e-Haq.

A spectacular fireworks display illuminated the sky while renowned singer Arif Lohar enthralled the audience with patriotic songs and national anthems, creating an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and national spirit.

Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner Nadeem Nasir said that the entire nation had written history one year ago by defeating the enemy through unity, solidarity and collective determination.

He said that Pakistan Armed Forces stood shoulder to shoulder with the nation and fulfilled their responsibility of defending the homeland with unmatched courage and professionalism.

He said that the unity among political leadership, Pakistan Armed Forces and the people defeated every hostile design of the enemy and strengthened national stability.

He said that Pakistan’s military strategy and successful warfare tactics were being appreciated globally while the country had also effectively projected and defended its stance on the diplomatic front.

He said that the entire nation saluted the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the protection and sovereignty of the motherland.

He said that Pakistan Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies were working day and night for safeguarding the dignity, peace and stability of the country.

He said that celebrations of national successes were being organized at public level across Punjab on the directions of Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz and various ceremonies, rallies and programs had been continuing in Faisalabad for the last several days.

The dignified nations always highlighted and celebrated the achievements of their national institutions with pride and unity, he added.
