DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) A meeting to review monthly performance of all line departments was held in Darazinda.
According to administration, Assistant Commissioner Darazinda, Shahid Iqbal Khattak chaired the meeting attended by the Additional Assistant Commissioner, Tehsildar Darazinda, and heads and representatives of various departments.
During the meeting, detailed reviews were conducted of the performance of the Health Department, Education Department, Public Health Engineering Department, National Highway Authority, Communication & Works Department, Forest Department, Food Department, Rescue 1122, and the Mines & Minerals Department.
Expressing concern over the lack of facilities in Basic Health Units (BHUs) and other health centers, as well as persistent staff absenteeism, the Assistant Commissioner directed that immediate inquiries be initiated against absent staff and strict action be taken under the Efficiency & Discipline Rules.
The education department was instructed to ensure teachers’ attendance in schools and to strengthen the monitoring system to improve the quality of education.
The public health engineering department was directed to restore non-functional water supply schemes on an urgent basis to ensure uninterrupted provision of clean drinking water to the public.
Officials from the National Highway Authority briefed the meeting on the repair and maintenance of National Highway N-50, which was emphasized as essential for public convenience and transportation.
The communication and works department was also directed to resolve issues hindering ongoing development projects, particularly the bypass road, on a priority basis.
The forest department was instructed to take strict measures against illegal logging and to enhance monitoring at check posts.
The food department was directed to ensure daily provision and strict enforcement of official price lists for fruits, vegetables, and chicken.
The performance and emergency response preparedness of Rescue 1122 were reviewed and deemed satisfactory.
The mines and minerals department was instructed to expedite pending cases and provide necessary certificates confirming that no legal complications or court cases are involved, ensuring transparency and timely decision-making.
