PFA conducts 110 food inspections in Gujrat

GUJRAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) On the directives of Deputy Director Punjab Food Authority Rizwan Saeed, food safety operations were carried out across the district to ensure provision of safe and quality food to the public.

According to official sources, a total of 110 inspections were conducted during the campaign, during which 38 improvement notices were issued to food business operators over violations of hygiene and safety standards.

Moreover, fines amounting to Rs. 70,000 were imposed on eight food outlets. In cases of serious violations, one shop was sealed while an FIR was also registered.

The Punjab Food Authority reiterated its commitment to continuing strict action against violators to safeguard public health.
