PFA conducts 131 inspections in Gujrat

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Apr, 2026) The drive against adulteration is continuing as 131 inspections were carried out,

45 improvement notices were issued over violations and fines of Rs 65,000 were

imposed on seven food outlets in the district.

The action was taken 0n the direction of Deputy Director Punjab Food Authority

Rizwan Saeed, PFA sources said here on Tuesday.

During the inspections, 710 liters of substandard and expired food items were discarded.

The Punjab Food Authority stated that operations would continue without any interruption

to ensure the provision of safe and quality food to the public, and strict legal action would

be taken against violators.
