SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Apr, 2026) The Punjab Food Authority(PFA) on Monday discarded 1,200 kg of adulterated khoya and sealed two production units during a crackdown against the food adulteration mafia in Kot Momin.
According to an official statement,PFA teams conducted raids on two manufacturing facilities where the khoya was being prepared using substandard and hazardous ingredients,including vegetable ghee and starch,instead of pure milk.
The authority disposed of the contaminated stock on the spot to prevent its distribution in local markets.
Cases were also registered against the violators,while both units were sealed.
Deputy Director(DD) operations,Shahbaz Sarwar said that the crackdown against adulteration mafia would continue without discriminationadding that those playing with public health would not be shown any leniency.
