RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Chakwal carried out a major operation against substandard juice, disposing of 7,000 litres of unsafe and low-quality juice in the vegetable market.
According to PFA, the action was taken after samples collected from a juice dealer failed laboratory tests and were found not to meet food safety standards.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Following the results, the authority confiscated and destroyed the entire stock.
In addition to the disposal, the juice dealer was fined Rs. 50,000 for violating food safety regulations.
PFA officials stated that samples had been sent to the laboratory, where they were declared unfit for human consumption due to failure to meet required food safety levels.
The Authority added that sampling of various food items is ongoing across the province to ensure the provision of safe and quality food to citizens.
