PFA DG pays tribute to workers on International Labour Day

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Director General (DG) Syed Musa Raza on Friday paid rich tribute to workers on the occasion of International Labour Day, saying that the day marks the tireless struggle and sacrifices of the labour class.

In his message, he said that workers play a vital role at every stage of food production, preparation, and distribution.

He said that labourers have a key role in building a healthy and developed society, adding that workers are partners in the practical formation of a healthy Punjab.

Musa Raza said that sustainable development can only be achieved by ensuring protection and welfare of the working class.

He said that those hands which work tirelessly from food production to its delivery are the real asset of society.

The DG emphasized that safeguarding the dignity, rights, and welfare of workers must always be a top priority.

He also paid tribute to the brave women officers working on the frontline in the fight for food safety.

He said that Labour Day reminds us that the journey of progress is not possible without hard work.
