GUJRAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Apr, 2026) Punjab Food Authority (PFA) imposed a total fine of Rs 99,000
on food outlets and discarded expired and prohibited food items
in the city.
On the direction of PFA Deputy Director Rizwan Saeed, food safety
conducted 110 inspections during a crackdown and seized 7.
68 kg
expired and prohibited food items from food outlets in the city and
imposed fine of Rs 99,000 on them. Later, the PFA teams discarded
the seized items.
The teams also issued 56 improvement notices to various food outlets.
A food sample was also obtained for laboratory testing.
