PFC chief lauds peace efforts in Middle East

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Mar, 2026) Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC) Chief Executive Officer Mian Kashif Ashfaq here on Thursday commended the visionary diplomatic efforts of Pakistan offering mediation to the United States and Iran to help carve out a result-oriented and viable settlement of the ongoing middle East crisis.

Talking to an industrialist delegation led by Nisar Ahmad Hanif Gujjar, he said this initiative would pave the way for fruitful talks, urging all stakeholders to give peace a chance for the collective good of the region and the entire world. "Pakistan’s proactive and balanced approach reflects its commitment to global peace, dialogue and constructive engagement," he added.

Mian Kashif said, tension in the Middle East has far-reaching implications for global stability, energy markets and economic growth, making timely mediation efforts extremely important. He added that Pakistan, owing to its credible diplomatic standing and strong relations with both sides, is well-positioned to facilitate meaningful dialogue.

Leader of the delegation Nisar Ahmad Hanif Gujjar said such peace initiatives would not only help defuse regional tension but also create an environment conducive to trade, investment and economic cooperation. He said sustainable peace in the Middle East would positively impact developing economies by ensuring stability in energy supplies and international markets.
