PHA plans to rehabilitate four city parks

Deputy Commissioner Hina Arshad has said that the Parks and Horticulture Agency (PHA) has prepared a comprehensive plan to rehabilitate and renovate four public parks in Khanewal city to provide citizens with quality recreational facilities

KHANEWAL, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jul, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Hina Arshad has said that the Parks and Horticulture Agency (PHA) has prepared a comprehensive plan to rehabilitate and renovate four public parks in Khanewal city to provide citizens with quality recreational facilities.

Under the project, the parks located in the X, Y and Z Blocks of People's Colony, along with Nasir Park in Tariqabad, will be upgraded, restored and made fully functional with improved amenities.

The deputy commissioner visited Y Block Park and Nasir Park to inspect the ongoing development work.

During the visit, she interacted with members of the local community, sought their suggestions and obtained feedback regarding the improvement of the parks.

She said the rehabilitation of all four parks would be carried out in consultation with local residents so that the upgraded facilities reflect the needs and preferences of the community.

Hina Arshad reiterated the district administration's commitment to developing clean, attractive and family-friendly recreational spaces for the public.

Director Admin and Finance PHA Muzaffar Khan and the Deputy Director Engineering accompanied the deputy commissioner during the visit.
