PHF announces national camp for FIH Pro League preparations

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd May, 2026) Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) on Saturday announced a national training camp for the senior men’s team in preparation for the upcoming FIH Pro League matches scheduled in Belgium and England.

According to a PHF media release, the camp will be held at the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore, from May 4 to June 6, as part of preparations for crucial Pro League fixtures set to take place from June 13 to June 28, 2026.

The camp has been approved on the recommendations of the PHF President, Professional Development Committee, National Selection Committee and Head Coach Manzoor-ul-Hasan.

All selected players and officials have been directed to report to the head coach at the PSB Coaching Centre, Lahore, by 5:00 pm on May 4. Players have been instructed to bring a valid No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective departments, a passport with at least six months’ validity, eight passport-size photographs, and their playing kits (both coloured and white).

The PHF has also formally informed all concerned departments and sports boards to treat the players’ and officials’ participation as “on duty” from May 3 to June 30, 2026, and to ensure the timely issuance of NOCs.

Meanwhile, the PHF has named the following probables for the training camp:

Goalkeepers: Muneeb Ur Rehman, Ali Raza, Waqar, Abdullah Ishtiaq Khan, Bilal Khan, Aon Muhammad, Faizan Janjua, Owais Rashid, Zubair.

Defenders: Sufyan Khan, Ammad Butt, Abubakar Mehmood, Arbaz, Nadeem Khan, Abdul Manan, Hammad Anjum, M. Abdullah, Arshad Liaquat, M. Zain, Ali Hamza, Yasir islam, Babar Sadat, Saad Shafique, Sufyan, M. Hammad, Basharat Ali, Samiullah, Umar Mustafa, Ammad, Adnan, Arbaz Ayaz, Yasir Ali, M. Amjad, Ahsan Nadeem.

Midfielders: Moin Shakeel, Ghazanfar Ali, Zikriya Hayat, Umair Sattar, Salman Razzaq, Junaid Manzoor, M. Ammad.
