Attock, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jun, 2026) Pindigheb Police on Wednesday arrested seven alleged gamblers during a raid and recovered Rs 922,000 in stake money, dealing a significant blow to illegal gambling activities in the area.
According to an Attock Police spokesperson, a police patrol team received information that a group of individuals was allegedly engaged in gambling with playing cards behind Nawabzada Bus Stand under the cover of trees. Acting swiftly on the tip-off, police constituted a raiding party and conducted an operation at the identified location.
Upon noticing the arrival of law enforcement personnel, the suspects allegedly attempted to disperse and conceal the gambling money.

The arrested suspects were identified as Javed Iqbal, Muhammad Ayub, Tauqeer Abbas, Usama Abbas, Sher Khan, Mudassar Ali, and Sifarish Khan, all residents of Sorg area in Tehsil Pindigheb, District Attock. Police recovered a total of Rs 922,000 in stake money from the scene and registered a case against the accused under relevant legal provisions. Further investigation is underway.
