SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Jun, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Sargodha Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry on Wednesday said welfare institutions play a crucial role in strengthening public healthcare and serving vulnerable segments of society, as he chaired a meeting to review the proposed upgradation of Kaneez Fatima Trust Hospital (KFTH) in Farooqa.

The meeting focused on plans to expand and modernize healthcare facilities at the hospital to bring them in line with contemporary medical standards. Participants conducted a detailed review of the proposed development plan and discussed measures to improve healthcare services for local residents.

Assistant Commissioner Sahiwal Khan Shams Rehman, Chief Executive Officer Health Dr Kashif Nabeel, District Health Officer Dr Shahzad Gul, and hospital trustee Umar Hayat Kalyar attended the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, the deputy commissioner appreciated the contributions of philanthropists and the trust management for providing healthcare services, particularly to underprivileged communities.

He directed health department officials to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the hospital’s existing infrastructure, available facilities, and future requirements.

Chaudhry instructed officials to prepare a detailed report along with recommendations to help formulate a practical plan for equipping the hospital with modern medical facilities.

Reaffirming the Punjab government’s commitment to improving healthcare services, he said full support would continue to be extended to philanthropic organizations working in the welfare sector.

The deputy commissioner expressed confidence that Kaneez Fatima Trust Hospital would be transformed into a reliable and effective healthcare centre, offering modern medical services to residents of Farooqa and adjoining areas.
