Plea filed for early hearing of contempt case

A miscellaneous petition has been filed before the Islamabad High Court (IHC) seeking an early hearing of a contempt of court case against Adiala Jail authorities for allegedly failing to implement the court's decision allowing meetings with the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) A miscellaneous petition has been filed before the Islamabad High Court (IHC) seeking an early hearing of a contempt of court case against Adiala Jail authorities for allegedly failing to implement the court's decision allowing meetings with the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Advocate Niazullah Niazi filed the application requesting that the contempt case be fixed for an early hearing. Niazi had already filed a contempt of court petition over the non-implementation of the court's verdict.
