PM expresses satisfaction over record $4.3 bn remittances in May, 2026

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Jun, 2026) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday expressed satisfaction over record remittances of US$4.3 billion sent by the overseas Pakistanis in May, 2026.

The prime minister, in a statement issued by the PM Office Media Wing, said that in May 2026, overseas Pakistanis sent remittances that were 20.

2% higher on a month-on-month basis and 15.4% higher year-on-year, which was a highly encouraging development.

He said that the confidence of overseas Pakistanis in the national economy and their positive contribution to it were a valuable national asset.
