PM offers condolences to family of late journalist Altaf Hassan Qureshi

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th May, 2026) Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif visited the residence of renowned late journalist Altaf Hassan

Qureshi on Saturday to offer condolences to the bereaved family and offer Fateha.

During the visit, the prime minister expressed his sympathies to the late journalist’s son, Kamran Hassan Qureshi, and daughter, Kurtaba Mazhar. He also prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased and for his elevated status

in the hereafter.

Paying tribute to the late journalist, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Altaf Hassan Qureshi rendered great

services to journalism throughout his career.

The prime minister described the deceased as an outstanding human being and a distinguished journalist, adding that his contributions to the profession would always be remembered.

He said the passing of Altaf Hassan Qureshi had created a void in the field of journalism that would be difficult to fill.

The prime minister also prayed for patience and strength for the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
