LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) Prime Minister’s Youth Programme organised a seminar titled “Marka-e-Haq: Youth for National Unity & Responsibility” at the University of Home Economics to engage youth in constructive national dialogue and pay tribute to national heroes.
The event was attended by prominent figures from academia, civil society, media and students, focusing on promoting patriotism, civic responsibility, technological advancement and national unity among youth.
Vice Chancellor Dr Zaib un Nisa, in her welcome address, appreciated the efforts of the programme in empowering youth through awareness and leadership initiatives.
Among the speakers were Brig (retd) Ghazanfar Ali Syed, Salman Ghani and Air Vice Marshal (retd) Sajid Habib, who highlighted national resilience, sacrifices of the armed forces and the importance of unity in addressing modern challenges.
Air Vice Marshal (retd) Sajid Habib, while addressing the students, emphasised the importance of technological superiority, strategic preparedness, and national discipline in modern defense systems. He highlighted the exceptional professionalism and operational capabilities of the Pakistan Air Force and encouraged youth to pursue excellence in science, aviation, technology, cyber security, and innovation to strengthen Pakistan’s future.
Brigadier (retd) Ghazanfar Ali Syed, spoke about national unity, sacrifice, and the evolving nature of warfare in the modern era. He stressed that today’s youth must become intellectually, morally, and technologically strong to counter modern challenges including misinformation, hybrid warfare, and ideological threats. He urged students to contribute positively towards national development through education, character-building, and responsible citizenship.
Special Representative to the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Rizwan Anwar attended the seminar as chief guest and paid tribute to the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, acknowledging his role in safeguarding national sovereignty and stability.
He also appreciated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his commitment to youth empowerment and national development, and acknowledged the role of Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan in promoting youth engagement across the country.
The seminar concluded with interactive sessions, student reflections and a collective pledge for national unity and responsible citizenship.
