ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly dry weather across most parts of the country on Saturday, while partly cloudy conditions are expected in Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas during the afternoon.
In Islamabad, weather is likely to remain dry; however, partly cloudy conditions may develop later in the day, with chances of isolated light rain and thunderstorms during the afternoon. Across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, dry weather is expected in most districts, though isolated rain-wind and thunderstorms may occur in Kurram, Hangu, Parachinar, Abbottabad, Swat, Dir and Kohistan. In Punjab, most districts are likely to experience dry conditions, while Murree, Galiyat, Sialkot, Jhelum, Rawalpindi and Chakwal may receive light rain accompanied by gusty winds and thunderstorms at isolated places during the afternoon.
Sindh is expected to remain hot and dry, while Balochistan will witness mainly dry weather across most districts.
In Kashmir, partly cloudy weather with chances of isolated light rain and thunderstorms is forecast, whereas Gilgit-Baltistan is expected to remain partly cloudy.
During the last 24 hours, dry weather prevailed in most parts of the country, with isolated rain-wind and thunderstorms reported in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas.
The rainfall recorded includes Garhi Dupatta 09 mm, Parachinar 02 mm, and Murree and Mandi Bahauddin 02 mm each.
The highest maximum temperatures recorded were 40 C in Chhor and Mithi, and 38 C in Tando Jam and Thatta.
The recorded minimum and maximum temperatures in major cities were Islamabad 09C and 27C, Lahore 16C and 30C, Karachi 23C and 36C, Peshawar 12C and 27C, Quetta 11C and 20C, Gilgit 09C and 26C, Muzaffarabad 12C and 30C, Skardu 07C and 19C, Murree 03C and 18C, Faisalabad 15C and 30C, and Multan 18C and 30C.
