PMDC approves 28 new postgraduate prgrammes for NMU

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) After a recent visit and detailed inspection, the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) has approved 28 new postgraduate programmez for Nishtar Medical University (NMU).

A spokesperson for the NMU said on Tuesday that newly approved Programmes include:

MD Level-III: 13 | MD/MS Level-IV: 4 | FCPS Level-IV: 5 | FCPS Level-III: 1 | MCPS: 1 | MPhil: 2 | Diploma: 2 .

With this approval, the total number of PM&DC-approved postgraduate programmes at NMU has now reached 80, he informed.

He noted that the milestone reflects the sincere efforts, dedication, and teamwork of the entire faculty and Registrar office of NMU under leadership of VC Prof Dr Mehnaz Khakwani. It further strengthens the University’s position as a leading center of excellence for postgraduate medical training in South Punjab.

The NMU remains committed to producing highly skilled specialists and serving the healthcare needs of the region, he concluded.
