QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st May, 2026) Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) parliamentarians in Balochistan held a joint press conference led by Provincial Minister, Mir Saleem Ahmed Khosa, strongly condemning the recent Chaman Railway Crossing blast and other incidents of unrest in the province. They expressed solidarity with the affected families and emphasized that no one can question the patriotism of Pashtuns living in Pakistan.
The press conference was attended by Provincial General Secretary Jamal Shah Kakar, MNA Akhtar Bibi, provincial ministers Mir Shoaib Nosherwani, Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani, Muhammad Khan Lehri, Mir Asim Kurd Gillo, Haji Barkat Rind, Hadia Nawaz Behrani, Naseem-ur-Rehman Malakhail, and other party leaders. Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail was also present.
Mir Saleem Khosa criticized the recent statements made by Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Mahmood Khan Achakzai during a public gathering in Chaman, where he allegedly referred to Afghanistan and made controversial remarks about border issues. Khosa said such comments were deeply concerning, stressing that Achakzai, as a senior political figure, must exercise responsibility and caution.
He added that Pakistan’s laws clearly define rules regarding dual nationality and prohibit any illegal activities or interference in state matters.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Khosa termed Achakzai’s talk of dismantling borders and forming private militias as inappropriate and unlawful, reiterating that security and defense are the exclusive responsibility of the state institutions and armed forces.
On border trade, Khosa assured that the government is committed to developing a secure and effective mechanism to promote commerce along the Pak-Afghan and Pak-Iran borders, ensuring both national security and the economic interests of border communities.
Addressing budget concerns, Khosa said PML-N has always supported fair distribution of resources among parliamentary Constituencies. He warned that giving PML-N members less development budget compared to other parties would not be acceptable, adding that the matter has already been raised with Chief Minister Balochistan.
He praised CM Mir Sarfraz Bugti for his inclusive leadership, noting that he is working with all political parties to improve governance and security. Khosa expressed hope that the law and order situation in Balochistan will continue to improve and that outstanding issues in troubled areas will soon be resolved.
