MIRPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) Manchester-based senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Azad Jammu and Kashmir (United Kingdom Chapter) Raja Changeez Khan Wednesday vehemently condemned the Israeli Parliament’s decision to implement the death penalty for Palestinian prisoners, labeling it a blatant violation of international law and universal human rights.
"During a conversation with the media in Manchester, Khan remarked that such measures are contrary to the principles of any civilized society and warned of far-reaching negative consequences for global peace," says a message reaching and released to the media here on Wednesday.
He continued that Israel’s ongoing actions against Palestinians have transitioned into a systematic genocide, where unarmed civilians, including innocent children and women, are being targeted without reprieve. Drawing a grim historical parallel, he stated that these atrocities are reminiscent of the dark policies of the Hitler era, which the world still regards as a pinnacle of tyranny. Raja Changeez Khan expressed profound concern over the silence of the international community, specifically the United Nations, the European Union, and global human rights organizations, stating that their inaction effectively strengthens the hand of the oppressor.
The PML-N leader warned that if immediate and effective steps are not taken, the security situation in the region will deteriorate further. He demanded that the fundamental rights of Palestinian prisoners be secured and that any inhumane legislation against them be immediately retracted. Furthermore, he urged the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and other relevant legal entities to play an active role in ensuring the provision of justice.
Mr. Khan noted the deep similarities between the Kashmiri and Palestinian struggles, pointing out that both nations have been resisting for decades to achieve their basic rights, freedom, and the right to self-determination. He emphasized that the world must listen to the voices of these oppressed nations and take practical measures to deliver justice.
He concluded by appealing to the Pakistani and Kashmiri diaspora in the United Kingdom to stand in steadfast solidarity with the Palestinian people and to raise their voices on every available forum to ensure this critical issue remains at the forefront of the global agenda, according to the message.
