PMLN to hold grand rally on May 9 to express solidarity with armed forces: Sheikh Ejaz

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd May, 2026) City President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) Sheikh Ejaz Ahmad Advocate announced that a grand rally would be held on May 09 after Asr prayers to express solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces and pay tribute to the martyrs and ghazis of Marka-e-Haq.

Addressing a consultative meeting held at his residence to finalize arrangements for the anniversary, he said that the rally titled “Hum Hain Bunyan-um-Marsoos, Seesa Pilai Hui Deewar” would culminate at D-Ground Chowk, with thousands of patriotic citizens from PP-114 expected to participate.

He said that people from all walks of life including elected representatives, youth, lawyers, labor wing members and social media activists would join the rally in large numbers to demonstrate unity and national spirit.

Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Ejaz Ahmad thanked party office-bearers and workers for standing by him during difficult times and appreciated their commitment and unity.

He said that the rally would serve as a renewed pledge of solidarity with the Pak armed forces and recognition of their sacrifices for the country’s defense.

He paid tribute to the military leadership and said that the Pak armed forces had demonstrated exceptional courage and strategy in responding to aggression, which was acknowledged globally.

He also congratulated Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on their leadership and diplomatic efforts.

He said that the Pakistan Air Force had proven its excellence on the global stage, adding that the country’s armed forces had successfully defended national sovereignty and dealt a strong response to adversaries.

He also paid tribute to former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for making Pakistan a nuclear power and said that the country’s defense had been made impregnable through strategic decisions.

The participants assured Sheikh Ejaz Ahmad of their full cooperation and pledged to join the rally in processions under his leadership to express unwavering support for the armed forces.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to organize the rally in a befitting manner and ensure maximum public participation to mark the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq with national zeal and unity.
