In a statement issued on Thursday, Khalid Masood Sandhu said that the process of understanding and reconciliation between the two countries would help reduce tensions and promote a peaceful environment across the region. He termed the agreement a significant diplomatic achievement and expressed hope that it would pave the way for stronger regional cooperation.

He said Pakistan had always advocated dialogue, diplomacy and mutual respect as the most effective means of resolving international disputes. According to him, the country's consistent efforts for the promotion of peace and stability in the region were widely recognized and appreciated.

Sandhu said Pakistan had conveyed a message of peace to the world by playing a mediatory role and contributing positively to efforts aimed at easing tensions. He added that Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir had demonstrated responsible leadership and played an important role in promoting regional peace.

The Markazi Muslim League president said that Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, in coordination with the national leadership, had worked effectively to help create an atmosphere conducive to dialogue and negotiations.

He noted that reducing tensions through diplomatic engagement remained essential for ensuring regional stability.

Khalid Masood Sandhu emphasized that Pakistan's foreign policy had consistently been based on the principles of peace, stability, regional cooperation and respect for international law. He said the preference for diplomatic solutions over the use of force was the need of the hour in an increasingly complex global environment.

He further stated that Pakistan had repeatedly proven itself to be a responsible state by supporting initiatives aimed at safeguarding regional peace, national security and public welfare. He added that the country's positive role in international affairs reflected its commitment to peaceful coexistence.

The Markazi Muslim League leader reiterated that his party believed in politics based on the principles of peace, stability, national sovereignty and public prosperity. He said the party wanted to see Pakistan continue its journey toward development, economic progress and long-term stability.

He expressed hope that the Iran-US agreement would contribute to greater understanding among nations and help create conditions for sustainable peace and prosperity throughout the region.
