PNCA marks World Culture Day; arranges Mehfil-e-Samaa

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd May, 2026) The Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) successfully organized a vibrant cultural evening titled “Mehfil-e-Samaa” in connection with World Cultural Day.

The distinguished event was graced by Ms. Farah Naz Akbar, Parliamentary Secretary for National Heritage and Culture, as the chief guest.

The event brought together art lovers, music enthusiasts, members of the diplomatic community, media representatives, and families for a memorable celebration of Pakistan’s rich cultural and musical heritage.

The evening featured soulful performances by the renowned Bakhshi Brothers Qawwal, whose powerful Qawwali captivated the audience and filled the auditorium with spiritual and musical energy.

Acclaimed sitar performer Wajeeh Nizami enthralled attendees with his mesmerizing melodies, while the Raasta Instrumental Band delivered an engaging musical performance that beautifully blended contemporary and traditional sounds.

Classical and cultural dance performances further added color and vibrancy to the event.

Director General PNCA, Muhammad Ayoub Jamali, said that PNCA remains committed to promoting cultural harmony, artistic expression, and the preservation of Pakistan’s rich heritage through meaningful cultural activities.
