Poets, writers vows to continue mission of publishing unpublished scientific material of Dr.Ali Murtaza Dharijo

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st May, 2026) Bazm-e Rooh Rihan in its continued weekly sessions hosted a condolence session in memory of Professor Dr. Ali Murtaza Dharijo of Sindh University, who passed away in Hyderabad recently.

Poets and writers vowed to continue the mission of publishing unpublished scientific materials.

While presiding over the ceremony, renowned author, columnist and environmental expert Nasir Panhwar said, that Dr. Ali Murtaza Dharijo was not only a zoologist who was a teacher, he was a visionary who was knowledgeable.

He is a person who has left traces of his truth and independence with his hard work.

He wrote medical science books in Sindhi language and spent a lot of time to prove that science is not only related to English. His books 'Science and Sindh', 'World of Sindhi Animals'"

The scientific literature that he laid is a big gap for Sindhi science.

Zahid Murtaza Dharijo, the eldest son of Dr. Ali Murtaza Dharijo, said that the aim of father’s life was to spread knowledge.

He used to stay up late at night writing science in Sindhi.

He used to say that 'until the son of a farmer understands science in his mother tongue, Sindh will not develop.

Today, we, the entire family, are promising you that we will soon bring his unpublished manuscript into book form. Thank you all for your love.

Renowned writer Mansoor Qadir Junejo said that Murtaza wanted to awaken the scientific consciousness among foreign youths, he wanted to remove ignorance from the minds.

Secretary General of Bazm-e Rooh Rihan, Wahid Kandharo said that after Ibrahim Joyo, Murtaza Dharijo polished the minds of young people with the scientific consciousness, Sindh will always be proud of him.

Advocate Faheem Noonari said, Dr. Dharijo was a true and honest person. When science was being made a joke in the university, he emphasized on practical research.

He produced many students who are scientists outside the country today, we should establish a 'Sindhi Science Foundation' in the name of Sundus. His compassion and scientific knowledge can never be forgotten." Journalist Hakim Chandio said, "Dr. Ali Murtaza Dhari, who wrote science columns in newspapers, created scientific awareness among the people.

Wrote many scientific books, today it is necessary to end the occupation of the building of Sindh Science Society.

His written columns should be published in book form and delivered to the school librarians.

He made a name for himself by writing research articles in international journals, but he never boasted.

He always used to say that 'My identity is my land'.

Today, we should establish a 'scientific chair' in the name of Sundus in the University of Sindh." In the event, Abdul Rehman Syal presented a long poem on Dr. Ali Murtaza Dharijo's service to science. Colleagues Saleh Katiyar, Talib Bhanbri, Obeid Lockeer, Darya Khan Pirzadi, Chachi Khair Muhammad Ashiq Solangi, Faqir Sikandar Kosi spoke about the academic and literary personality of Murtaza Dharijo. In the meeting, writers Syed Asma Shah, Niaz Masroor Badawi, Mola Bakhsh Mohabati and Rayhan Ali participated, at the end of the ceremony prayers were requested for the peace of the soul of Dr. Ali Murtaza Dharijo.
