Police arrest 218 PO's in crackdown

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Mar, 2026) Police arrested 218 proclaimed offenders(POs) and habitual criminals during a district-wide crackdown carried out over the past week officials said on Monday.

According to a statement,the arrests included 12 category ‘A’ proclaimed offenders,100 category ‘B’ offenders and 106 habitual criminals,all of whom were shifted to various lockups.

Police said that legal proceedings had been initiated at respective stations following the recovery of illicit items.

District Police Officer(DPO) Muhammad Sohaib Ashraf said that the operation would continue until the elimination of organized crime,adding that protecting citizens’ lives and property remains the force’s top priority.
