HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2026) The Hyderabad police have arrested a couple for the alleged torture of a minor domestic worker following a targeted raid in Aliabad Colony within the limits of Hatri police station.

According to a police spokesperson, SDPO Cantt, SDPO Chhalgari and SHO Hatri reached the location along with a police party after receiving information about the violence of a minor housemaid, and took house owner Sibghatullah Shah and his wife Zubaida into custody.

Police safely recovered the 10 year old victim, identified as Sajna Khokhar. In her initial statement, the child revealed that she had been working at the house for the past two years, during which she was subjected to frequent physical torture over minor issues.

Authorities have taken the victim into protective custody and initiated necessary legal and medical assistance. A case has been registered against the accused on behalf of the state, and formal legal proceedings have begun.

SSP Hyderabad Shahzaib Chachar said that any form of violence, exploitation or abuse against children will not be tolerated, and strict legal action will be taken against those involved in such heinous crimes.
