Police arrest eight thrill-seeking youths for violating traffic laws

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Apr, 2026) The city traffic police here on Monday arrested eight youths for performing wheelies on the northern Bypass and impounded their motorcycles at the terminal.

The action was taken on the instructions of Chief Traffic Officer Dr. Zahidullah, and under the supervision of SP Headquarters Rozia Altaf.

Police carried out a crackdown against wheelie riders on the Northern bypass, arresting eight youths for violating traffic laws.

Their motorcycles were seized under sections 523/550 and placed in the terminal.

Chief traffic officer Dr. Zahidullah said that performing wheelies is equivalent to risking one’s life, as this dangerous activity has already claimed many precious lives and turned happy homes into places of mourning.

He urged people to avoid wheelie riding, emphasizing that seeking temporary attention through such acts can lead to lifelong disability or fatal accidents.
