Police arrest murder accused

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Mar, 2026) Police claimed to arrest an accused involved in murder case in injured condition after an encounter.

A police spokesman informed here on Monday that on wee hours on Sunday, the incident took place in Unit No. 5 of Latifabad B Section, where the victim Sanaullah, son of Chanesar Mangrio, a laborer working in a hotel, was arrested.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Hyderabad, Shahzeb Chachar took immediate notice of the incident and immediately registered a case with the Station House Officer (SHO) B- Section and issued orders for the arrest of the accused.

SHO B- Section Inspector Niaz Ahmed Panhwar registered case on the complaint of the deceased’s brother Misri Mangrio and started the investigation.

B-Section police while acting on a tip-off raided the presence of the accused in Naijani Band Unit No. 10 Latifabad, when two of the accused opened fire on the police party.

In the police’s retaliatory action, one accused, Rehan son of Mir Hassan Gopang, resident of village Noor Muhammad Khan Gopang, Taluka Bulri Shah Karim, District Tando Muhammad Khan, was arrested along with a pistol,

While the co-accused Saud Ahmed Gopang managed to escape from the spot, while police teams have been dispatched to arrest him.

The injured accused has been immediately shifted to the Civil Hospital for treatment. Further legal action was underway.
