Police arrest robbery, theft suspects in separate operations

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jul, 2026) Rawalpindi Police arrested members of two alleged criminal gangs in separate operations, recovering stolen motorcycles, cash, household items and weapons from their possession.

According to a police spokesman, R.A. Bazaar Police arrested the leader of a gang allegedly involved in robbery and burglary along with an accomplice.

Police recovered a stolen motorcycle, cash, household goods and weapons from the suspects. The gang leader was a habitual offender with a previous record in robbery, vehicle theft, narcotics and other criminal cases.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Potohar, Sardar Babar Mumtaz Khan said the arrested suspects would be prosecuted on the basis of solid evidence.

In another operation, Rawat Police arrested the leader of a gang wanted in motorcycle theft, burglary and other theft cases along with two accomplices.

Police recovered a stolen motorcycle, Rs 40,000 in cash, water motors and weapons from the possession of the arrested suspects.

The spokesman said the gang leader had a previous criminal record involving theft, burglary and illegal possession of weapons. He added that the suspects were traced and arrested through technical surveillance and human intelligence.

SP Sher said the accused would be challaned before the court with complete evidence, adding that operations against criminal elements would continue.
